Under the Crown

This Hillsburgh home has the kind of bones you don't often see — high ceilings, ornate crown moulding, and original architectural details running through every room. The homeowners wanted new cabinetry that felt like it belonged there. Fox built the dining room display cabinets in reeded glass with dark frames and an integrated wine fridge, a wall-to-wall TV built-in in the living room, and a window bench in the bedroom. The standout piece was a hidden pivot-hinge bookcase door — the first Fox has built — painted in Chantilly Lace and concealing the entrance to the newly renovated second floor, which was built by Simon Jones. Four rooms, four colours.
