About this project

This Caledon kitchen started from scratch — new cabinetry, new countertops, new finishes, right down to the fixtures. The homeowners wanted a space that felt warm and considered, not trend-driven. Michaela's Homes & Interiors led the design, bringing in Simon Jones Contracting for the build and Fox Custom Woodworks for all the cabinetry and millwork. The result is a kitchen built around a white oak island and arched pantry wall, with Simply White painted perimeter cabinets that keep the space feeling open and light. Three local businesses. One cohesive room.

Michaela's Homes & Interiors led the design from concept through to final styling. Every finish, material, and fixture was chosen to work as a whole — as well as keeping the customers existing flooring in mind. Warm white oak against Simply White cabinetry, dark bronze hardware, and Dekton Sabbia countertops grounding the palette. Michaela sourced the island pendants, brass faucet, and Deer Valley apron sink. A kitchen that feels curated rather than assembled.

Simon Jones Contracting handled the full build — coordinating trades, electrical, and plumbing, and ensuring everything came together cleanly on schedule. Their backsplash tilework is one of the most visible finishes in the space. The coordination that happens behind the walls, before a single cabinet goes in, is what makes the difference between a renovation that works and one that doesn't.

Custom Cabinetry & Millwork — Erin, Ontario

Fox built every cabinet in this kitchen by hand — the island, painted perimeter cabinets, arched pantry wall, pantry cabinetry, and rift-cut white oak floating shelves with integrated LED lighting. The Dekton Sabbia countertops were supplied and coordinated by Fox. The existing rangehood was refinished in-house to match the new cabinetry — a detail most people won't notice, which is exactly the point. Built by hand in Erin, Ontario. Installed in Caledon.
